Cieľom podujatia je diskutovať o hlavných ekonomických, regulačných a trhových prekážkach, ktoré v krajinách regiónu BIOEAST obmedzujú širšie zavádzanie agroekologických a ekologických postupov, a zároveň identifikovať vhodné stimuly a podmienky podporujúce tento prechod. Účastníci sa oboznámia s praktickými príkladmi úspešných a ekonomicky životaschopných farmárskych modelov založených na agroekológii, s možnosťami rozvoja trhov pre udržateľne produkované potraviny a s vplyvom správania spotrebiteľov na dopyt po týchto produktoch. Diskusia sa bude venovať aj možnostiam Spoločnej poľnohospodárskej politiky (CAP) podporiť agroekologickú transformáciu prostredníctvom cielených stimulov a politických nástrojov. Podujatie je určené najmä pre tvorcov politík, odborníkov a výskumníkov z krajín BIOEAST, pričom jeho cieľom je identifikovať konkrétne riešenia na posilnenie postavenia agroekológie ako kľúčového prvku odolných, udržateľných a inkluzívnych potravinových systémov.

The aim of this event is to discuss the main economic, regulatory, and market barriers that limit the wider adoption of agroecological and organic practices across the BIOEAST region, while identifying suitable incentives and enabling conditions to support this transition. Participants will learn about practical examples of successful and economically viable agroecological farming models, opportunities for developing markets for sustainably produced food, and the role of consumer behaviour in shaping demand for such products. The discussion will also address how the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) can support the agroecological transition through targeted incentives and policy instruments. The event is primarily intended
for policymakers, experts, and researchers from BIOEAST countries, with the objective of identifying concrete solutions to strengthen the role of agroecology as a key component of resilient, sustainable, and inclusive food systems.
